A Meaningful Evening of Mental Health Awareness

YPCA’s online Mental Health Awareness Seminar brought young people together for an evening of learning, reflection, and thoughtful conversation. Hosted by Orhan Arslan, BSW, BSS, Youth and Family Counsellor, the session focused on awareness, healing, and the importance of speaking openly when life feels difficult.

Participants explored questions around emotional wellbeing, common mental health struggles, and the ways support can make a real difference. The conversation was respectful, grounded, and honest. It gave young people space to listen, reflect, and recognize that they are not alone in what they may be carrying.

The Q&A portion made the session especially meaningful. Participants were able to ask questions, hear practical perspectives, and engage with the topic in a way that felt approachable rather than overwhelming.

Thank you to everyone who joined, listened, asked thoughtful questions, and helped create such a supportive online space. At YPCA, we believe that conversations like these matter because every young person deserves to feel seen, supported, and hopeful.
