Trauma, Mental Health, and the Space to Heal | YPCA Community

Mental health conversations can feel difficult to begin, especially when trauma, stress, anxiety, or past experiences are involved. This online YPCA session is being created as a welcoming space for young people to learn, reflect, and ask questions without pressure.
Presented by Orhan Aslan, the seminar will explore trauma and mental health in a thoughtful and understandable way.
Participants will look at how difficult experiences can affect emotions, relationships, confidence, and everyday life, while also learning why healing can look different for everyone.
The session will include an open Q&A where youth can bring questions, listen to shared perspectives, and gain practical awareness they can carry into daily life.
You do not need to have the right words or a personal story prepared. Simply joining, listening, and learning is enough.
YPCA believes that support begins when people feel seen, heard, and respected. We invite youth to take part in this online conversation and be part of a community that values understanding, care, and healthier ways forward.
